Thai Salad Dressing

Bold, bright, and unapologetically addictive, this Thai basil dressing doesn’t JUST dress a salad; it takes over in the best way possible. With aromatic herbs and just enough chili heat to wake up your senses, it’s the secret weapon your fridge has been missing.

Ingredients

  • 2 bird’s eye chilies or to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ginger grated
  • ¼ cup Thai basil leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro stems minced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar coconut sugar, or palm sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegan fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Finely mince the bird’s eye chilies and garlic. Grate the ginger
  • Transfer to a blender pitcher along with the chopped Thai basil, minced cilantro stems, sugar, vegan fish sauce, lime juice, tamarind concentrate, water, and salt.
  • Pulse in the blender a few times for a more textured dressing, or blend for 60 seconds on high speed for a fully smooth dressing.
  • Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving.

Notes

🔥 It's Gettin' Hot in Here:
Bird’s eye chilies are packing heat, so ease in with one, blend, taste, and add more if you can handle it. If you want flavor without the burn, remove the seeds and membranes.
🍋 Don’t Fake the Funk:
Bottled lime juice is the imitation. Fresh lime juice is the real MVP, bringing that perfect punch to this dressing. Skip the fake stuff, trust the fresh!
