Instructions

  • Optional Dry Roasting: Toast cumin, coriander, cloves, and cardamom seeds in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant, around 2-3 minutes; cool before grinding.
  • Grind the spices to a fine powder for even flavor distribution in your Baharat blend.
  • Store your Baharat blend in an airtight container, protecting it from light, heat, and moisture to maintain its vibrancy for a few months.

Notes

Precise Measurement: Accurate amounts of each spice ensure a balanced blend; use measuring spoons for consistency. On the other hand, if you want to tweak the balance of flavors, feel free to tweak it to your preferred taste.
Dry Roasting for Depth: If roasting, make sure to cool the spices before grinding; this step enhances aroma and improves the quality of the spice blend.
Airtight Storage: Preserve freshness by storing Baharat in an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. Use within a few months for peak taste.
